Prázdny hrnček

Je Pedrov prvý deň. Dostane stôl. Dostane notebook. Všetci idú na poradu.

It is Pedro's first day. He gets a desk. He gets a laptop. Everyone goes to a meeting.

Stôl je čistý. Je tam jeden biely hrnček. Myslí si: možno je to darček. Je smädný.

The desk is clean. There is one white cup. He thinks: maybe it is a gift. He is thirsty.

Pedro ide do kuchyne. Naplní hrnček vodou. Sadne si. Vo dverách stojí muž s bradou.

Pedro goes to the kitchen. He fills the cup with water. He sits down. A bearded man stands at the door.

"Toto bol predtým môj stôl," hovorí. Usmeje sa. "Som Diego. Vitaj."

"This was my desk before," he says. He smiles. "I am Diego. Welcome."

Pedrovi sčervenie tvár. Vráti hrnček späť. Diego sa smeje. "Nechaj si ho," hovorí. "Ale spýtaj sa na kávovar."

Pedro's face turns red. He gives the cup back. Diego laughs. "Keep it," he says. "But ask about the coffee machine."

Neskôr mu Diego ukáže kávovar. Trvá to desať minút.

Later, Diego shows him the coffee machine. It takes ten minutes.
