空っぽのカップ

今日はペドロの初日です。机をもらいます。ノートパソコンをもらいます。みんなは会議に行きます。

It is Pedro's first day. He gets a desk. He gets a laptop. Everyone goes to a meeting.

机はきれいです。白いカップが一つあります。ペドロは思います。もしかしたら、贈り物かもしれません。喉が渇いています。

The desk is clean. There is one white cup. He thinks: maybe it is a gift. He is thirsty.

ペドロはキッチンへ行きます。カップに水を入れます。座ります。ひげのある男の人がドアのところに立っています。

Pedro goes to the kitchen. He fills the cup with water. He sits down. A bearded man stands at the door.

"これは前は私の机でした"と彼は言います。彼はほほえみます。"私はディエゴです。ようこそ"

"This was my desk before," he says. He smiles. "I am Diego. Welcome."

ペドロの顔は赤くなります。カップを返します。ディエゴは笑います。"持っていていいですよ"と彼は言います。"でも、コーヒーメーカーについて聞いてくださいね"

Pedro's face turns red. He gives the cup back. Diego laughs. "Keep it," he says. "But ask about the coffee machine."

その後、ディエゴはコーヒーメーカーの使い方を見せます。十分かかります。

Later, Diego shows him the coffee machine. It takes ten minutes.
