Locuiesc într-un copac bătrân, lângă parc. Este un parc mic și nu este faimos, dar îl cunosc foarte bine pentru că merg acolo în fiecare zi.
Dimineața, când ploaia se oprește, cobor din copac ca să caut mâncare. Petrec un timp privind oamenii care trec pe alee. Sunt mereu porumbei lângă bănci, așteptând o bucată de pâine.
Domnul Bursuc ajunge la ora zece, mereu la aceeași oră. Aduce pâine pentru porumbei, iar aceștia îl înconjoară imediat. Mă distrez foarte mult privind cum se ceartă pentru cele mai mari firimituri.
Sâmbăta, parcul se schimbă. Familiile sosesc și cei mici se joacă de-a v-ați ascunselea printre copaci. Se ascund foarte prost: râd tot timpul, și de aceea știu mereu unde sunt. Părinții lor se ocupă vorbind pe bănci și nu se uită la ceas.
Când după-amiaza se termină, toată lumea pleacă acasă și parcul devine liniștit. Atunci cobor din nou și merg pe lângă apă, fără să mă grăbesc. Îmi place mai mult acum decât dimineața, pentru că parcul este numai al meu.
Nu trebuie să merg departe. Parcul meu este lângă casa mea, și pentru mine asta este suficient.
