Když lidé posílají zprávu do jiné země, zpráva často cestuje pod mořem. Dlouhé kabely leží na dně oceánu. Spojují města a země po celém světě.
Kabely nejsou moc velké. Mnohé jsou tenké jako zahradní hadice. Uvnitř jsou tenká vlákna ze skla, každé tenké jako vlas. Světlo se pohybuje sklem velmi rychle a nese informace.
