Si ferma a una bancarella con una lunga fila. Una donna cucina ravioli in una grande padella piatta. Mara guarda gli altri clienti. Loro indicano il menu, dicono un numero, e pagano. Quando tocca a lei, indica anche lei. "Cinque, per favore", dice. La donna annuisce e sorride.
I ravioli sono caldi e croccanti sotto. Mara si siede su una piccola sedia di plastica e li mangia piano. Poi cammina verso la bancarella successiva, e poi un'altra ancora. Quella notte impara la regola più importante del cibo di strada: una fila lunga significa cibo buono.
