Horská záhrada

Ráno vzduch voňal sladko a sucho. Polly kráčala cez nízke strieborno-zelené kríky na svahu hory.

In the morning the air smelled sweet and dry. Polly walked through low silver-green bushes on the side of the mountain.

Dotkla sa rozmarínu a tymiánu. Vôňa rastlín ju sprevádzala všade. Táto hora je slávna záhrada.

She brushed past rosemary and thyme. The smell of the plants followed her everywhere. This mountain is a famous garden.

Rastú tu stovky divokých rastlín. Niektoré z nich rastú skoro nikde inde na svete.

Hundreds of wild plants grow here. Some of them grow almost nowhere else in the world.

Medzi skalami rástla malá palma. Borovice sa nakláňali nad svetlým kameňom. Polly sedela v tieni a počúvala vietor.

A small fan palm grew between the rocks. Pine trees leaned over the pale stone. Polly sat in the shade and listened to the wind.
