Das ist der Lago Enriquillo. Er ist der größte See der Karibik. Er liegt tiefer als das Meer. Flüsse fließen in den See, aber nichts fließt hinaus. Die Sonne nimmt das Wasser weg. Das Salz bleibt. Deshalb ist der See sehr salzig.
Vor langer Zeit war dieses Tal Teil des Meeres. Im trockenen Gestein nahe dem Wasser gibt es alte Korallen. Es gibt auch Muscheln, weit weg von jedem Strand.
Polly geht am Wasser entlang. Dann bewegt sich etwas im See. Es ist sehr lang. Es ist kein Vogel.
