Гора-слон

Полли летит на рассвете над спокойным синим морем. Впереди из воды поднимается длинная гора. С этой стороны она похожа на спящего слона. Люди зовут её Монтго.

Polly flew in at dawn over a calm blue sea. Ahead, a long mountain rose straight out of the water. From this side it looked like a sleeping elephant. People call it Montgó.

Под горой стоит маленький белый городок. Там узкие улицы, черепичные крыши и тихий рыбацкий порт. Городок называется Хавеа. Он стоит между горой и морем.

Below the mountain sat a small white town. It had narrow streets, terracotta roofs, and a quiet fishing port. The town is called Xàbia, and it sits between the mountain and the sea.

Полли садится на тёплый камень высоко на горе. Камень цвета мёда. Она смотрит вниз, на весь берег.

Polly landed on the warm rock high on the ridge. The stone was the colour of honey. She looked down at the whole coast.

Солнце встаёт над морем. Свет красит гору и городок в золотой цвет. Полли решает остаться здесь на семь дней.

The sun came up over the water. The light turned the mountain and the town gold. Polly decided to stay for seven days.
