Ten długi kształt to krokodyl. W tym jeziorze żyje około czterystu krokodyli. Żyją w bardzo słonej wodzie.

Jak to możliwe? Ich języki wypychają sól na zewnątrz. I wiedzą, gdzie jest słodka woda. Wzdłuż brzegu wypływają małe źródła. Krokodyle piją tam wodę. Zakładają tam też gniazda, blisko siebie.

Na jeziorze jest wyspa. Żyją na niej dwa gatunki legwana. Jeden z nich nie żyje nigdzie indziej na świecie.

Wcześniej były tam trzy wyspy. Potem jezioro rosło przez dziesięć lat. Zalało pola i drogi. Dwie wyspy zniknęły pod wodą. Polly patrzy, jak krokodyl zawraca i znika pod wodą.
