أول ضوء

في صباحها الأخير، طارت بولي إلى نهاية الرأس، ويُسمى كاب دي سانت أنطوني.

On her last morning, Polly flew out to the end of the cape, called Cap de Sant Antoni.

منارة بيضاء صغيرة تقف عالية على الجرف. منذ زمن طويل وهي تحرس البحر.

A small white lighthouse stood high on the cliff. For a long time it has watched over the sea.

أشرقت الشمس فوق الماء. البحر هنا هادئ وصافٍ، ومحمي أيضاً. حوّل الضوء الجروف إلى اللون الذهبي مرة أخرى.

The sun rose over the water. The sea here is calm and clear, and it is protected. The light turned the cliffs gold one more time.

ودّعت بولي جبل الفيل. ارتفعت مع الريح الدافئة وطارت فوق البحر اللامع.

Polly said goodbye to the elephant mountain. She rose on the warm wind and flew out over the bright sea.
