骑士和鹿

第四天，风很大。波莉跳过悬崖上一个大石头广场。海鸥在风里侧身落下。

On day four the wind was strong. Polly hopped across a big stone square on the clifftop. Gulls landed sideways in the wind.

悬崖边上有一座很小的教堂。里面的墙上，铺满蓝白色的瓷砖。那里又凉快又安静。

At the edge of the cliff was a very small chapel. Inside, the walls were covered with blue and white tiles. It was cool and quiet.

瓷砖上讲了一个古老的故事。一个骑马的人在雾里追一只鹿。鹿跳进了雾里。地面在那里就没有了。但是马在边上停住了，骑马的人很安全。

The tiles told an old story. A rider hunted a deer in the fog. The deer jumped into the mist. The ground ended there. But the horse stopped at the edge, and the rider was safe.

外面，波莉坐在一个鹿头雕像上。雕像拿着一块冲浪板。下面，海浪越来越大了。

Outside, Polly sat on a statue with a deer head. It held a surfboard. Below, the waves were getting bigger.
