The Amazon, the Biggest River

The Amazon is a great river in South America. It is the biggest river in the world by the amount of water. It carries more water than many other large rivers all together.

Amazonka je velká řeka v Jižní Americe. Je to největší řeka na světě podle množství vody. Nese víc vody než mnoho jiných velkých řek dohromady.

The river starts high in the mountains and flows to the sea. On the way, it passes through nine countries. Around the river there is a huge green forest, full of trees, birds, fish, and many other animals.

Řeka začíná vysoko v horách a teče k moři. Cestou protéká devíti zeměmi. Kolem řeky se rozkládá obrovský zelený prales, plný stromů, ptáků, ryb a mnoha dalších zvířat.

The Amazon is very important for our planet. The big forest gives clean air to the world and is home to millions of plants and animals. Many people also live near the river. They use its water every day to drink, to cook, and to travel by boat.

Amazonka je pro naši planetu velmi důležitá. Velký prales dává světu čistý vzduch a je domovem milionů rostlin a zvířat. Blízko řeky žije také mnoho lidí. Její vodu používají každý den k pití, k vaření a k cestování na loďce.
