The Whale That Traveled Fifteen Thousand Kilometers

Scientists just tracked the journey of two humpback whales. They swam between Australia and Brazil, crossing more than fourteen thousand kilometers of open ocean.

One of the whales broke the record for the longest migration ever recorded, about fifteen thousand kilometers. Normally, these whales stay in the same areas to reproduce. But these two decided to explore.
