A Day at the River

A river goes around the town, like a ring. Today Polly visits the river. She wants a slow day.

Rijeka ide oko grada, kao prsten. Danas Polly posjećuje rijeku. Želi spori dan.

By the water it is cool. The water is clean and cold. Trees hang over the river. Blue dragonflies fly over the water. Polly walks on the small path.

Kraj vode je svježe. Voda je čista i hladna. Drveće visi nad rijekom. Plava vretenca lete iznad vode. Polly hoda malom stazom.

She watches little insects on the water. She listens to the river. High above, the pink houses look down.

Gleda male kukce na vodi. Sluša rijeku. Visoko gore ružičaste kuće gledaju dolje.

In the evening a fox comes to drink. Polly and the fox look at each other. Then the fox goes away. Polly flies home happy.

Navečer lisica dolazi piti. Polly i lisica se gledaju. Onda lisica odlazi. Polly leti kući sretna.
