The Crooked House

In the morning Polly meets Berta. Berta is an old stone marten. She lives inside the town walls. She shows Polly the town.

The streets are like stairs. The balconies almost touch over the street. All the houses are pink. The doors are small.

Berta shows Polly a very crooked house. It is thin at the bottom and wide at the top. It is called the Julianeta. It is very famous and very old.

Polly and Berta sit on a roof. They share a fig. The pink town is below them. Polly likes being a little lost here.
