Polly's Trip to Venice

As the sun went down, Polly the parrot flew over Venice. The city looked like it was floating on the sea. Old buildings with beautiful designs lined the canals. Polly's colorful wings stood out against the soft colors of the buildings. Church bells rang as she arrived, mixing with a gondolier's song. Polly landed on a stone railing by the Grand Canal. She watched the boats move up and down the water. Venice was special because it was always connected to the water. Each wave and reflection seemed to tell a story. Polly looked at the busy Rialto Market nearby. Vendors shouted in Italian, selling fresh fruits and spices. The air smelled like fresh bread and the sea. Polly saw a young woman by the canal. She looked worried and held a map. It seemed like she was unsure where to go. Polly felt she should help the woman. Maybe she could be a friend and guide in this city of dreams.

Chaque vague et chaque reflet semblaient raconter une histoire. Polly regarda le marché du Rialto tout proche. Les vendeurs criaient en italien, vendant des fruits frais et des épices. L'air sentait le pain frais et la mer. Polly vit une jeune femme près du canal. Elle avait l'air inquiète et tenait une carte. Elle semblait ne pas savoir où aller. Polly sentit qu'elle devait aider la femme. Peut-être pourrait-elle être une amie et un guide dans cette ville de rêves.
